MOR Studio assisted the church with a feasibility study, zoning and code analysis, exterior building design and pre-application with the City of Phoenix for a lobby addition in their courtyard that will provide more fellowship space. Unique design creativity was needed to plan for a structural strategy that encloses the area yet allows for a light-filled and inviting lobby. Reshaping of the roof to redirect water and smart strategies to create a seamless integration with the existing buildings created a contemporary aesthetic while still honoring the existing heritage of the church.
